Questions about the passport cover
What does skived mean?
The leather is shaved thinner along the fold and under the stitch line before assembly. It is the reason this cover closes to 7 mm where an unskived one of the same hide closes to 11 and springs open in a pocket.
Will a supple cover protect the passport?
From rain, coffee and pocket grit, yes. From being bent, no — it follows the booklet rather than stiffening it. If you want the passport held flat, the structured RFID holder is the one to pick.
Does it hold a boarding pass?
A printed pass folded once tucks behind the passport in the main pocket. It is not a sleeve, so an unfolded A4 pass will stick out — the multi-passport organizer has a full-length sleeve for that.
