PROTECTION THAT COVERS THE WHOLE BOOK, NOT ONE POCKET

Half of what is sold as RFID blocking is a small panel behind two card slots with everything else exposed beside it. A continuous layer through both covers means that when the holder is shut, everything inside is inside the shield — which is the only version of the claim worth paying for.

  • Foil through both covers — closed, the whole interior is inside the shield, not beside it
  • 13.56 MHz contactless band — the band used by bank cards and e-passport chips
  • Four card slots and a note pocket — enough for the airside kit without becoming a second wallet
  • Structured cover — keeps the passport flat rather than curling to your pocket
  • Bound spine, stitched edge — the fold is reinforced where a laminated cover normally splits

A shielded passport holder built around the one question people actually have: does the blocking work, and where exactly is it. Here, the layer wraps the whole interior, not a single card pocket.

The shielding wraps the whole interior

Most RFID products put a thin shielded panel behind the card slots and call the product blocking. This one laminates a continuous foil layer through both covers, so a closed holder is shielded on both faces and the contents are inside the wrap rather than beside it. The shell is a structured leather-look with a stitched edge and a bound spine; inside there are a passport pocket, four card slots, a boarding-pass sleeve and a slim note pocket. The band is 13.56 MHz — contactless cards and e-passport chips — and it is closed-book protection, which is the only kind that means anything.

Questions about the passport holder

How do I know the shielding works?
Close it with a contactless card inside and hold it to a card reader or a phone with NFC read enabled. Nothing should register. Open it and the same card reads immediately — that difference is the layer doing its job.

Does it block my passport chip?
Closed, yes. An e-passport chip is already hard to read through a closed booklet, and the wrap makes it harder. Open on a desk it reads normally, which is what border control needs.

Will it stop a card being cloned at a distance?
It stops the card being powered and read while it is inside, which is what shielding does. It has no effect on anything that happens when you take the card out and tap it, and no product does.

Questions about this one

How long does delivery take?

Standard shipping is free on every order with no minimum and arrives in 10–15 business days. Express is $59.99 and arrives in 5–9 business days.

Where do you ship?

The United States only, priced in USD.

Can I return something?

Within 30 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging. Email contact@upstao.store and we will send return instructions within one business day.

Will a packing cube fit my suitcase?

Every product page lists finished dimensions in both inches and centimetres. Measure the inside of your case rather than its external size — the shell and wheels are not usable space.

Is anything battery powered?

No. Nothing in the catalogue charges, pairs or tracks. Compression here is done by a second zip or a strap you pull by hand.
