A LAUNDRY BAG FOR MONTHS AWAY, NOT NIGHTS
Three nights and a mesh sack is fine. A month in a rented flat needs something that stands in a corner, holds two machine loads, and goes over a shoulder when it is full — then folds to a flat panel and rides in the case to the next place.
-
Stiffened base, four corner seams — stands square and open instead of lying as a heap
-
Liner lifts out to wash — the coated inner comes out so the bag itself can be cleaned
-
Wide webbing shoulder strap — a full load rides on a shoulder rather than in one hand
-
Heavy cotton-poly canvas — holds its shape standing and takes years of being dragged
-
Folds flat for packing — collapses to a panel and travels in a case between stays
A structured canvas laundry bag with a shoulder strap and a flat base, so it stands in the corner of a room at home and carries a full load down to the machine when it is time.
Stands in the corner, carries to the machine
Most travel laundry bags are a sack that lies in a heap. This one has a stiffened base and four corner seams, so it stands square and open, and a wide webbing strap on bar-tacked anchors so a full load goes over a shoulder. The canvas is a heavy cotton-poly with a water-resistant coated liner that lifts out for washing. It folds flat for a trip and becomes the hamper in a rented flat, which is the actual life of a laundry bag for anyone who travels for weeks rather than days.

Questions about the laundry bag
Is 65 litres too big to travel with?
Empty it folds to a flat panel and packs like a large cube. It is sized for a long stay or a rented flat rather than a weekend — for three nights the mesh sack is the honest choice.
Why a removable liner?
Because the coated liner is what contains damp and the canvas is what you actually want to wash. Separating them means you can clean the bag properly instead of wiping a coating you cannot get behind.
Will the strap take a full load?
The anchors are bar-tacked into reinforced canvas patches, and the strap is a wide webbing rather than a cord. Two machine loads is heavy but within it; wet laundry is another matter, so drain first.
