THE TRAINERS, THE WET KIT AND THE CLEAN SHIRTS, APART
One bag that does Friday's gym and Saturday's train needs three spaces, not one. Shoes ventilate in a tunnel through the base, the wet kit sits welded in at the far end, and the clean clothes in the middle arrive not knowing either of them was there.
-
Ventilated shoe tunnel — mesh ends so trainers air rather than sealing in their own damp
-
Welded wet pocket at the far end — a swimsuit or a used kit stays off the clothes for the journey
-
Every compartment opens outside — reach the shoes without unpacking anything in the main
-
Carry-on sized, honestly — measured to sit inside common cabin limits when packed
-
Padded shoulder strap — a 50 mm pad that stays put on a shoulder rather than sliding
A weekend bag with a sealed shoe compartment at one end and a wet pocket at the other, so the gym kit, the trainers and the clean clothes never meet.
Three compartments that never meet
The bag that does a gym day and a weekend away has to solve the same problem twice: shoes and damp clothes in the same space as everything else. This one runs a ventilated shoe tunnel through the base at one end, a welded wet pocket at the other, and an open main between them. Each is reached from outside, so nothing is unpacked to get at anything. The shell is a coated polyester with a webbing frame, a trolley sleeve and a padded strap, and it is sized as a genuine carry-on rather than an optimistic one.

Questions about the travel bag
Does the shoe tunnel take the whole width?
It runs through the base at one end and takes a pair up to about US men's 11 lying flat. It borrows depth from the main above it, so packing the main hard makes the tunnel tighter.
Is the wet pocket really sealed?
The lining is welded and the zip is coated, so a wrung-out swimsuit stays contained for a journey. It is not airtight — left sealed and damp for two days it will smell, and so would anything else.
Will it fit as cabin baggage?
At 50 x 25 x 25 cm it sits inside the common European and US cabin limits when it is not overstuffed. Airlines with a smaller sizer, or a strict 40 cm depth rule, are the exception.
