Questions about the cube set
Why a shallow tray instead of another cube?
Because a week of underwear in a 12 cm cube becomes a slumped pile you dig through. At 7 cm it stays one flat layer, visible through the mesh, and the cube sits on top of folded shirts without crushing them.
Do these compress?
No. All seven are single-zip. That is a deliberate trade for speed and weight: the mesh set is for packing fast and seeing everything, the double-zip sets are for squeezing a week into a carry-on.
Is mesh strong enough for a checked bag?
The mesh is panel, not structure; the load runs through the nylon binding and the bound seams. Stuffed past the zip line it will strain, as any cube will, but normal packing is well within it.
