STOP DECANTING YOUR LIFE INTO LITTLE BOTTLES
Decanting is a thirty-minute job you do the night before, and half of it leaks anyway. A pouch 13 cm deep with a mouth that opens on three sides takes the shelf as it is — full-size bottles, the tall one, the hairbrush — and you pack the bathroom in about ninety seconds.
-
U-zip opens three sides — the mouth folds right back so you can see the bottom of the pouch
-
13 cm deep — tall bottles and a hairbrush stand up rather than lying diagonally
-
Welded lining corners — the corners are sealed, which is where a spill normally escapes
-
Two internal mesh pockets — flat items stay on the wall instead of sinking under the bottles
-
No decanting required — sized for what is actually on your shelf, in the bottles it came in
The high-volume one: a deep zipped box with a wide mouth that takes a full bathroom shelf, for the trips where a minimal wash kit is not what you actually own.
Takes the whole shelf, not a selection
Packing lists assume a wash kit of four things. Real ones have twelve, several of them full-size, and a couple that are awkwardly tall. This pouch is built for that: 22 cm across, 13 cm deep, with a U-shaped zip that opens three sides so the mouth folds right back and you can see the bottom. The lining is water-resistant with welded corners, and there are two internal mesh pockets for the flat items. It is not elegant and it is not small — it is the one that means you do not have to decant anything.

Questions about the wash pouch
Is it too big for a carry-on?
It takes roughly the footprint of a large packing cube and 13 cm of depth. In a 24-inch case that is fine; in a 20-inch cabin case it costs you real room, and the flat pouch is the better choice.
Will it hold a hairdryer?
A compact travel dryer fits with the wash kit removed, but it is a wash pouch, not a dryer case — the lining is there to contain liquid, and a dryer will press the shape out of it over time.
Does the U-zip stay open?
Folded back, the lid sits against the counter under its own weight when the pouch is loaded. Empty, it will spring up slightly — there is no wire in the mouth, deliberately, so it packs flat.
